During his time with the LAPD, our founder, Dan Brown, saw a huge rise in "follow-home robberies". The strategy involves robbers discovering the work place or other commonly visited location of a company executive or celebrity and follows them away from that place (which is usually more well protected) to their home or other vulnerable location (which may have cameras and alarms, but often don't have armed security). Once at this more vulnerable location, the criminals, often armed, attempt to conduct a robbery. During these highly stressful encounters, the robbers or the victims often panic and the victim ends up being badly injured.
