About Us

Grand Strand Security was formed out of a desire to improve the image and efficacy of the private security industry. For far too long, security guards have been seen as simply a warm body standing at a door. Our founder, Dan Brown, has set out to change that. As a 15-year veteran of the Los Angeles Police Department, he knew that security guards, properly trained, were capable of so much more. In 2022 he started Grand Strand Security to bring better security services to Myrtle Beach, Surfside Beach, and Garden City. Since our humble beginnings, we have also expanded our services into North Myrtle Beach, Conway, and Murrells Inlet.
